Steve Keen is currently a law enforcemet officer and K9 handler serving the citizens of Calvert County, Maryland. Steve also served in the United States Navy from 1991 through 1993. He is currently assigned to the Prince Frederick area which is located in Calvert County, Maryland. Keen also served in the United States Navy from 1991 through 1993.

In 1994 Steve graduated from the police academy as a third generation police officer. He initially served the Prince Frederick area.

In 2001 he became a K9 handler and was partnered with K9 Miki, a sable colored German Shepherd, trained in Drug Detection. K9 Miki was not only Keen's partner... but also his friend. Unfortunately, Steve lost Miki to a deadly disease in February of 2006.

Steve has since continued working in the K9 field, partnered with a search and rescue bloodhound "K9 Ellie Mae", and a new friend (also a German Shepherd) K9 Nero. 

Steve is a Maryland native and cuurently resides in Calvert County with his wife and two daughters. He continues to work and train vigorously with k9 partner Nero. Together, Steve and Nero continue to reduce drugs in the Southern Maryland area.
